Sexual health is important to all of us and we work across the community to provide current and relevant information to ensure happier and more fulfilling lives. M Clinic, established specifically for the sexual health needs of gay men and other same sex attracted men, already has more than 3,000 clients just three years after opening. We respond to the needs of travellers, who can be more vulnerable to sexual health risk, with targeted campaigns including the acclaimed ‘Sex in Other Cities’ project. A variety of counseling services address many upstream issues that can increase vulnerability and we provide peer support and workshops for individuals and groups from all cultural and demographic backgrounds. Maintaining and expanding our youth programs is critical and remains critical. Through our own projects and working with others, we address priority issues that impact those with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
Now more than ever, this is a time for sexual health to be recognised as an important health priority.
