It is funny to say goodbye to STYLEAID in it's current form after 20 years - there is part of me that is quite sad about that. As I sit here on the Monday after STYLEAID, I get a sense of Déjà vu thinking about the last few months and how that culminated with the final event on Friday night! As with any event of this size, in an organisation like the WA AIDS Council, it takes months to plan, review, and sell tickets! The night would not have been possible without the many people who assisted along the way, and I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has worked with me to make it such a memorable night.
The STYLEAID committee has changed and evolved over time, but it has been more like a family. Each one of the 100+ committee members over the past 20 years have played a part in making the event such a success.
This year I was blessed to have Annette Hasluck work alongside me as co-event manager, and over the past 20 years I have been honoured to have her in my life through STYLEAID. She was invaluable in making the event happen this year, and she is a star in my life that always shines brightly!
Thank you to the WA AIDS Council staff and our dedicated volunteers for helping out in the lead up to the event, as well as on the night.
This event has been central to my life on so many levels, and I have been blessed with the ups and downs that it has created.
For the last time – THANK YOU for all of your support, hard work and dedication in making STYLEAID such an unforgettable event.
Now it's time to move ahead to STYLEAID 2.0 in 2019!
