Volunteering

The work of WAAC is possible, in no small part, due to our incredibly passionate, dedicated and talented team of volunteers. Around 100 active local heroes generously donate their time and skills to fulfil roles such as administrative support, community outreach and event assistance.

Volunteers are part of the heart and soul of WAAC, and have been since we were formed in 1985.

Volunteers support our work in many ways and are part of the WAAC team and work across all areas of the organisation. Our volunteers are vital to our work, and are connected to our work in many ways and all bring a desire to help the diverse communities we support and serve.

    COVID-19 and volunteering

Due to WA Department of Health requirements and the fact WAAC works with immunocompromised clients, all volunteers and staff are required to have received the full course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

If you have not been vaccinated and do not plan to be, unfortunately WAAC is unable to provide any volunteering opportunities. If you have a medical exception, please let us know and we can discuss options.
